Five (5) on a scale of perfect ten (10) . . .

• Jacket is flat, has slightly rounded, dog-eared corners; wear is noticeable; retains something less than half of its gloss.

• Label has something less than half of its gloss; somewhat worn, lightly ringed, marked or discolored.

• Sleeve is original; contains the record, although moderately bent, creased, split or torn.

• Vinyl is lightly worn, lightly scuffed; has a few unfeelable marks; has no more than two feelable marks that do no skip; retains something less than half of its luster and sheen.

As most used records tend to fall into categories 5 and 6, these two numerical shadings are the mid-range, dividing above and below average.
